International engineering companies, Saint-Gobain Bearings and Saint- Gobain Automotive Polymer Solutions, came together under a new brand, “EQYO”, and partnered with Motion Marketing to develop the new brand’s visual identity and copy style guidelines, for use across the globe.

EQYO co-engineer components that are tailor-made to meet challenging customer specifications. Their engineers, from 7 R&D locations and 20 manufacturing sites, in 17 countries, work closely with clients, from the first imagined product iteration, through to design and manufacture. Custom designs, coupled with world-leading manufacturing capabilities and a wide materials portfolio, ensure that EQYO’s components perform to the high standards their customers require.

Marketing Requirements

EQYO came to Motion with a new brand logo and strapline, requiring development of the new brand’s visual identity and copywriting guidelines. Motion Marketing worked with EQYO’s own marketing team, exploring the brand’s fundamental characteristics, market positioning and key messaging requirements, to create visual and copy guidelines in good time for the new company’s launch.

Collaboration was key – with joint project management of the skills and resources brought by each team enabling delivery of everything required for the launch, including sales presentations, video, website copy, and examples of all types of visual designs. An agile approach was needed to produce results swiftly and efficiently, and overcome challenges seamlessly, to meet the tight timeline.

Motion Marketing’s Solution

EQYO had already considered brand fundamentals, including values, vision, purpose, culture, mission, differentiation and positioning.

Building upon these foundations, EQYO and Motion Marketing explored the development of distinctive visuals, messaging, copy style and tone of voice. These all had to reflect EQYO’s unique position as a specialist, collaborative, bespoke manufacturer of components that transform how systems operate.

The creative directions for producing unique ‘EQYO’ imagery were conceived, tested, and delivered by Motion’s expert team. These encompassed everything from high-level brand graphics to detailed product visuals. EQYO’s copywriting style and messaging were similarly developed by Motion with EQYO’s input, to help position the brand’s distinctive messages.

Motion Marketing delivered comprehensive visual and copy guidelines for EQYO’s global teams, to serve as a blueprint for all communications items, from letterheads to business cards, collateral and posters to social media content and the new website.

Motion Marketing has since been working strategically with EQYO, to identify needs and create templates and key content for material such as: datasheets, whitepapers, brochures, advertising, presentations and more. Motion Marketing and EQYO are building a versatile toolkit to streamline development of material that supports and builds a powerful and compelling brand.
