Constant growth and success in the industry have allowed Motion to expand the team. I am pleased to be introducing myself as Motion’s newest recruit, Daniel Kanigowski. I was keen to join the Motion team and have already got stuck into several different projects varying from creative to digital. The team has already made me feel at home in the professional working environment, working alongside an experienced team gives me an opportunity to get a real flavour of the marketing world.
My Role & Responsibilities
As a marketing assistant, I will be working across all departments of Motion to assist with tasks, offer valuable insight and a second pair of hands where it is needed. At Motion, research is key to any successful project. Therefore, I will be taking a key role assisting with competitor research and market place analysis to ensure the team have all the necessary information required to make informed project decisions that will deliver positive results for clients.
I have had introductions to several customers, and I am pleased to see there is a good mix of both technology and industrial sectors. It means I can experience the best of both industries: the fast-paced world of IT and the complex products and solutions from manufacturing and engineering.
Since we are part of a wider group, we share our offices with technical, industry-minded colleagues, which allows me to learn more about the industry organically from experts. Since this recruitment is an apprenticeship, I will be spending one day a week at Cirencester College. During college days, I will be improving my marketing knowledge and upon completing the apprenticeship, I will earn a BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Marketing as well as an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Marketing.
The Apprenticeship Appeal
The Industries Motion specialise in appear to be technical. This means I can learn more about technical marketing, how to present and work with complex solutions – something that is not easy to do in the consumer world. The apprenticeship is a good opportunity to gain the skills I need in marketing to progress further and provides that all-important on the job training. Working with an experienced team means I can pick up on the skills around me and help me grow in my own abilities.
