Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from Motion!

Marketing for 2020

Rob Cullum

With Christmas and New Year fast-approaching, it’s nearly time for your well-earned break! Motion are looking forward to spending a relaxing break celebrating with family, friends and plenty of delicious food! But, before we start tucking into the mince pies and chocolate oranges, we wanted to take a brief look over the successful year Motion has had. From welcoming new clients and employees, working on new technical projects and supporting our new charity, TASF, it is safe to say Motion has had an eventful year.

A Lookback at 2019

New Projects: 2019 was an exciting year for projects, with more clients requesting our technical and industrial knowledge on products and the marketplace to deliver solutions that were competitive and more importantly, solutions that delivered on results.

One project all the team enjoyed working on this year was the launch of a start-up technology company, Accelerate Technologies. It was a world the Motion team were all too familiar with, so using our past experience to return to the channel, technologies and vendors we know so well made the project even more enjoyable. As Accelerate’s on-going marketing partner, we are looking forward to utilising the tools we created to drive even more opportunities in 2020.

Example of great partnership: We were pleased to continue our strong marketing partnership with Pro Optix in 2019. It was a busy year for the company, and Motion worked closely with them to deliver strategic marketing services to help launch a series of new products to the market, including their new 400G transceivers. As well as product launches, we also continued to work on on-going customer communications, social media management, content marketing and more.

Motion Marketing Achievements: We began the year supporting a new charity, the Ashley Scrivens Foundation (TASF) as their official marketing partner. Throughout the year, Motion helped support their on-going fundraising and sponsorship activities with bespoke landing pages, website development, branding and social media management. To date, Motion has supported with a Gin and Jazz fund raising event and a Kickstart sports development campaign, that aims to bring youth, grassroots football teams establish themselves without the financial pressures.

In between client projects, we took the time to step back and re-evaluate the Motion brand and website. We launched our new look and website last month, introducing changes that would improve user experience and offer more valuable content. Read our blog here to see what we changed and why. Since the launch, we are pleased to have seen our efforts paying off with numerous quality leads arising from contact forms. It is another way we can help show our customers how important a website is to a business, as their most powerful sales tool.

As well as welcoming new clients to our portfolio, 2019 saw us hiring our first-ever apprentice. Daniel Kanigowski joined the team in September as a Marketing Assistant. Daniel is gaining hands-on marketing experience with the team and has already got stuck into several projects varying from creative to digital. Daniel will continue to work alongside the team next year, assisting with competitor research and market place analysis.

We would like to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We want to personally thank you for your continued support, and we are looking forward to what 2020 brings our way!
