As a team, we are inspired by the individuals and organisations that go above and beyond to help charities raise much-needed awareness and donations. Motion Marketing is proud to contribute where possible through sponsorship, promotional support and donations. We love to be involved in helping local individuals and charities achieve their goals.
Former Royal Engineer Commando, Charlie Martell is the ultimate charitable adventurer. Having trained as an Army bomb-disposal expert, Charlie used that skill set to take on numerous daring challenges to inspire others and raise awareness and funds for great causes.
To date, Charlie has raised more than £260,000 for charities including Meningitis Trust, Give Them a Sporting Chance and Toe in the Water. Charlie’s charitable adventures have included being part of a three-man team in the 2005 Polar Challenge ski-race to the North Pole; and leading a four-man team to row between New York and Cornwall, claiming two Guinness World Records in the process. Visit Charlie’s website to learn more about his past activities here.
In April 2019, Charlie Martell will be embarking on an inspirational and challenging journey, an attempt of another Guinness World Record feat – to be the first person in history to row solo and unsupported across the North Pacific Ocean, from Japan to the USA, land to land. Charlie’s determination is inspirational and is one of the many reasons why Motion Marketing is proud to be an official sponsor of the Pacific 2019 challenge.
As well as inspiring others to push their own personal limits, Charlie will also be raising awareness and much-needed funds for three worthy charities: Give them a Sporting Chance, Veterans in Action and The VC Gallery. Motion Marketing is working with Charlie to help reach (and hopefully exceed!) his fundraising target of £100,000. If you are interested in sponsoring Charlie and would like to hear about the excellent commercial benefits being a sponsor can deliver to your business, please contact the Motion team or visit Charlie’s Pacific 2019 website to learn more about the challenge.
